Job Vacancy

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany is looking for a receptionist / doorperson starting 19 October 2010. Please forward your application written in English and German including CV and supporting documents (certificates, references, photo) by 8 September 2010.

Internship at the German Embassy

The German Embassy is looking for an intern for 6 weeks. The internship will start at mid October. Please note that applications can only be forwarded via the online application form of the Federal Foreign Office.

Events with the German Ambassador

New Owner of the Berlin Wall in Spain

Exhibition by the German Embassy

The German Embassy Dublin presented an exhibition called 'Wiederbesuchte Orte' (Revisited Places) at the ILAC Library (Henry Street, Dublin 1) from 16 - 29 August 2010. Many people visited the exhibition  and found out in how far the reunification of Germany has affected towns and landscapes.

Exhibition by the German Embassy

The Embassy presents an exhibition called 'From peaceful revolution to German unity' from 01 - 17 September 2010 at the Dublin City Council. The exhibition shows the way to German unity, including for instance the protest against the fraud of the council elections in the GDR. You can visit the exhibition Mo - Fr 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free entry.

20 Years Reunification of Germany

This year, Germany celebrates the 20th anniversary of the German reunification. Take a look at relevant literature, read about how the Irish experienced the reunification and the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the German Wall.

Metropolis Film Screening

Do not miss to watch Fritz Lang's silent cinema classic 'Metropolis' (1927) at the Irish Film Institute (10-23 September 2010) or at the National Concert Hall (4 September 2010), where the film will be accompanied by a salon orchestra. A must for all cineasts!

SERVICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

OPENING HOURS OF THE CONSULAR SECTION:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from  8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Thursdays also from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The appointment system for visa and passport applications started on 14.12.2009. Times of collection have changed. In matters of inheritance, civil and marital status please arrange an appointment at the Embassy directly.

Collection times of German passports are Monday and Thursday from 08:30 a.m. - 09:00 a.m.

Visa collection times are Tuesday and Friday from 12.00 - 1.00 p.m.

New: Introduction of web-based visa application form

As a service to our costumers we would like to give you the opportunity to already fill in and print your visa application form at your computer at home or at your office.

Your printed application form will be checked and scanned at the Embassy. As our visa officers do not have to fill in your details manually the length of your stay at the counter will be shorter, which saves you and the Embassy time.
